Sports Culture In America
The differences in sports culture in Spain can be vastly different from the United States. In the USA, sports are the biggest and most sought after form of entertainment. For Instance, in america instead of watching the game at home, some “Tailgate” at the game. Tailgating is a social gathering to watch a sports game together on a bigger screen. Another example of the difference in sports culture is the type of sports. In the US the most popular sports are Football, Basketball, and Baseball. In Spain the biggests sports are Soccer, Basketball and Tennis. Even the biggest influences in each country are different. In America, people that inspire people to play are Lebron James, Stephen Curry, and Odell Beckham. In Spain, they have Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Also in America, They're known for having multiple developmental centers to help develop young talent. Some examples are sport camps, the D-League (Basketball) and AAU games. A similarity both countries have are having their sports in the form of a video game. Games like Madden, FIfa, and NBA 2K. In conclusion, there are many differences and similarities between Spain’s and America’s sports culture, but both are impacted greatly by sports.
