American Football

American Football

It’s a sunday morning and I can hear the TV playing in the living room. It’s another day of American Football. The NFL (National Football League) is the most popular sport/league in The United States bringing in around 100 million viewers in the Super Bowl (The championship Game). This making American Football the most popular sport in America. The average NFL player’s age is 28 years old.

I don’t have a personal favorite NFL football team but I always watch the games when they’re on because they get very intense and are very entertaining to watch.

It’s a saturday morning and I’m wearing an Ohio State jersey. I’m screaming at the TV with excitement as if I were there. This is how I spend my saturdays in America. Watching College Football which is the University School level. Players which are usually 18-24 years old from all over America can get scholarships, which is free or discounted education, if colleges think they are a talented football player and are talented intellectually. So students can then go play for the college while getting an education at the same time.

The Ohio State University’s football team is one of the most elite football teams in the history of College Football. Ohio State has 8 football national championships. I grew up watching them and I’m from Ohio so this is why they are my favorite football team.

The level below college/university is high school. Players from ages 15-18 can play sports such as Football for their high school as an extracurricular activity. So as long as you can keep your grades up then you can play to compete against other high school teams. My high school, Reynoldsburg High School, usually has a pretty good football team every year. A lot of people from my city come and watch them every Friday night when they play. The games are very fun to watch and they are a great time to spend time with friends and family.
